I recently traveled to Northern Spain to shoot footage along the Camino de Santiago, a 500 mile pilgrimage walked by over 100,000 people every year. I was hired to capture footage to create a pitch trailer for a future documentary. The Camino is a fascinating story to tell. Crazy characters, brutal injuries, and an ever changing landscape experienced step by step, walking across northern Spain to Santiago.
My travel companion had walked the Camino in 2010 and felt that the story of what it’s like to experience the Camino has never been accurately portrayed in a film. We only had 6 days to capture just a taste of what it’s like to walk the entire 500 miles.
The footage will be used to create a trailer for a KickStarter campaign to fund the future documentary. I will write about the campaign in the next few months as we get closer to launching it. Below are a few photos from the trip shot on location in Pamplona, Galicia, Viana, Logroño, and Santiago.
